Villa holiday rental with pool in Dalyan, Turkey - stay at Villa Zambak.

The village of Dalyan occupies a unique corner of south-western Turkey, whose natural beauty is completely unspoilt. This is one of the surviving corners of paradise, an area of outstanding natural

beauty and  historic interest.
At the heart of Dalyan is the Dalyan River, overlooked by the famous rock tombs. The river forms a network of small lakes and waterways through reed beds rising to 5 metres in height.

You can visit the ancient city of Kaunos after taking a rowing boat across the river and a short walk. The city is believed to date from 3000 BC, and at one time was a major port on the border between Lycia and Caria.

The Iztuzu beach is nearby and can be reached by public boat from Dalyan. It is a 7Km unspoilt beach that is home to the Caretta Caretta turtle and has been designated a world heritage site because of its natural beauty.
The Sultanye thermal baths can also be reached from Koycegiz lake by boat. The water here is 40 Celsius and has a thick aroma of sulphur and is said to cure most ills.

You can take a boat trip across Lake Koycegiz where dramatic mountains surround the clear water. The lake is ideal for a moonlight cruise, but can be equally breathtaking in the early morning.
